Rules of use
To preserve the harmony of the SPA, we kindly ask you to switch off your mobile phone or any other electronic device and to keep your voice low, helping to maintain the calm atmosphere intended. Smoking and the consumption of food or alcohol are not permitted.
Running, jumping, diving or the use of floats in the pool is not permitted. Showering before entering the pool is mandatory. Personal accessories such as watches, bracelets, earrings, rings, etc. should not be worn. Existing safety rules must be respected and equipment must be used according to the instructions.
SPA opening hours
Daily from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.
Minimum age
Entry to the Furadouro SPA is not permitted to anyone under 16 years of age.
Bookings
Use of the SPA requires prior booking, subject to availability.
Hotel guests who book massages and/or SPA treatments have free access to the sauna, Turkish bath and pool before or after their massage/treatment, in both cases with prior booking.
If no massage or treatment is booked, use of the sauna, Turkish bath and pool requires a payment of €12.00 per person and prior booking, and is exclusive to hotel guests.
Please book well in advance so that you can enjoy your preferred time. Full payment is due at the time of booking. Bookings, always subject to availability, can be made directly at the SPA Reception, by email to spa@furadourohotel.com or by phone on +351 256 590 090.
Arriving at the SPA
We recommend arriving at the SPA reception up to 15 minutes before your scheduled treatment time. This time is used to complete the client form, receive information and change clothes if necessary.
Late arrivals
If you arrive late, the duration of your treatment will be shortened.
Cancellations
Out of consideration for other SPA users, and since your treatment requires the facilities to be reserved, we ask that you inform us in advance if you cannot attend. Our team will be happy to reschedule: up to 48 hours before, rescheduling carries an additional charge of 50% of the treatment price. Within 48 hours, rescheduling requires payment in full — the same applies in the case of no-shows.
Preparing for the SPA
Ladies require no special preparation. Gentlemen are advised to shave before a facial massage, for maximum comfort and benefit to the skin.
Clothing
No specific clothing is required; however, in the wet area a swimsuit or bikini is mandatory for ladies and swimming shorts for gentlemen, along with pool slippers, and a swimming cap is mandatory for use of the pool. If you need a swimming cap, one can be purchased at the SPA reception for an additional €5.
In the treatment area, the use of a bathrobe and slippers is mandatory. For massage rituals and facial and body treatments, suitable disposable garments will be provided whenever necessary. Your privacy will always be respected: your therapist will leave the room so that you can settle in comfortably in complete privacy. During the treatment you will be covered with towels protecting all parts of the body not being treated.
Health and special care
Pregnancy, medical restrictions or any unusual conditions must be communicated when booking your treatment.
It is the user's responsibility to be aware of their physical condition, in order to confirm there are no contraindications to using the facilities. All information provided by the client regarding their physical condition is entirely confidential and will be treated with the utmost discretion.
Sauna and Turkish bath
The sauna and Turkish bath should be used in moderation, and the use of a swimsuit is mandatory. Usage and duration may vary according to each person's goals — we recommend 15 to 20 minutes in the dry sauna. The Turkish bath is ideal for opening the pores, awakening the body and clearing the respiratory system. It is not advised for people with heart and/or circulation problems or high blood pressure.
Pool
The pool is heated (maximum legal temperature of 30 °C). Showering before entering the pool is mandatory, as is the use of suitable slippers and a swimming cap. The pool area is warm and very humid, which is contraindicated for those with related health issues.
Please note that the SPA pool has no lifeguard, and the Management of the Furadouro Boutique Hotel Beach & SPA declines any responsibility for its improper use.
Responsibility
Please leave your belongings and personal items in your room or in the individual lockers, always keeping the respective key with you. The Hotel/Furadouro SPA accepts no responsibility for any damage, theft or loss of personal items used in the SPA area or stored in the lockers. The Management of the Hotel/Furadouro SPA reserves the right to interrupt and refuse continuation of the contracted service in cases of sexual, verbal or non-verbal harassment, charging the full price of the service initially contracted. In such situations, the therapist shall immediately leave the treatment room and report the situation to management.
Changes to conditions
The Hotel/Furadouro SPA reserves the right to change rules and rates without prior notice, undertaking to publish any changes through the available channels.
